The mission
Our client is looking for a Data Governance Officer to join their team.
Key responsibilities:
Data governance
- Onboard & activate the new data-related roles (data owners & data stewards)
- Refine the data domains and support data owners in the identification and logging of critical data
- Prepare, hold and follow up on the (quarterly) Data Governance Boards
Data quality
- Define and syndicate the approach to monitor and improve data quality (incl. definition of KPIs)
- Support the data stewards in the identification, logging, reporting, analysis, and remediation of data quality issues impacting critical data
Metadata management (in a second stage)
- Support the Head of Data Management during the proof-of-concept with the selected business glossary & data catalog tool (DataGalaxy)
- Define and syndicate the approach to (business glossary & data catalog) metadata management
- Support the data stewards in the progressive implementation of the above approach
Communication, training and change management
- Finetune the learning path for data stewards (and, to a lesser extent, other data roles)
- Orchestrate the data stewards’ learning journey
- Create and animate the data stewards community
- Prepare communication plan and materials for broader audience
Data stewardship for Reference Data
- Perform data steward activities for the Reference Data data domain (initial focus: identification and syndication of the critical data in that data domain, preparation of associated definitions and terms of use, identification and resolution of data quality issues)
Is this you ?
- Good knowledge of English, Dutch and French
- University (Master’s degree)
- Transformation program (change management and implementation)
- Community management/animation
- Design and delivery of training programs
- Data management certification (CDMP)
- Informatica Cloud Data Quality (or similar)
- DataGalaxy (or similar)
- Data management and governance
- Financial services (preferably insurance)
- Experience in working in complex organisations
- Experience in finance (performance management) and/or risk management
