The project:

Our client in the Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage sector, is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer to strengthen their team.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Engineering

• Design, deploy and maintain secure, scalable and resilient AWS infrastructure.
• Build and manage cloud landing zones following enterprise architecture and security standards.
• Implement highly available networking, compute, storage and platform services.
• Support infrastructure modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery and operational resilience of cloud platforms.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management and lifecycle management.
• Standardize reusable infrastructure modules and deployment templates.
• Promote Infrastructure as Code best practices across engineering teams.

DevOps & CI/CD

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure and application deployments.
• Automate build, deployment and release processes.
• Implement GitOps practices and deployment automation.
• Improve deployment reliability, consistency and rollback capabilities.

Cloud Operations & Platform Engineering

• Manage AWS platform services including networking, identity, monitoring and security.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure health, availability and capacity.
• Implement proactive monitoring, alerting and observability using CloudWatch and related tooling.
• Support incident management, root cause analysis and continuous service improvement.

Security & Compliance

• Implement cloud security best practices and AWS Well-Architected Framework recommendations.
• Configure IAM policies, security groups, VPCs and network segmentation.
• Support vulnerability remediation and infrastructure hardening.
• Ensure compliance with internal security standards and governance policies.

Performance & Cost Optimisation

• Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability and cost efficiency.
• Monitor cloud consumption and recommend optimization opportunities.
• Support FinOps initiatives and cloud governance.

Is this you?

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering or DevOps.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on AWS Cloud experience.
• Strong experience designing and operating production AWS environments.
• Experience managing enterprise infrastructure within large organizations.
• Experience collaborating with Infrastructure, Security and Operations teams.
