We are currently seeking an experienced AWS Security Engineer to support one of our clients in the Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage sector. This role offers the opportunity to strengthen cloud security foundations, design robust controls, and contribute to major cloud transformation initiatives.

The project

Our client is looking for an AWS Security Engineer to implement, optimize, and operationalize security controls across their AWS environments. You will collaborate closely with Cloud Security Architecture, SOC teams, and DevOps units to ensure secure cloud operations.

Your responsibilities

Cloud Security Implementation

• Implement and maintain AWS security policies, guardrails, and compliance requirements

• Enforce IAM principles (least privilege, MFA, role-based access) across AWS accounts

• Configure encryption, network segmentation, and logging aligned with enterprise standards

• Support secure deployment of containers, serverless services, and cloud-native workloads

Security Automation & Monitoring

• Develop automated controls and policy-as-code (CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS Config, SCPs)

• Integrate AWS security checks into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)

• Monitor workloads using Security Hub, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and respond to security findings

• Contribute to vulnerability remediation and continuous hardening

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with the Cloud Security Architect to translate designs into operational controls

• Support SOC teams in fine-tuning AWS-native threat detections

• Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures

• Provide input for security reviews, audits, and compliance assessments

Is this you?

• 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering with strong AWS expertise

• Hands-on experience with AWS services: IAM, KMS, Security Hub, GuardDuty, WAF, Shield, CloudTrail

• Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation

• Familiarity with container and serverless security (EKS, ECS, Lambda)

• Understanding of regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA, PCI DSS)

• AWS Certified Security – Specialty

• AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)

• CISSP or CCSP is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

• Automation-first, pragmatic approach

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
