The project
Our client in the banking sector is seeking a freelance Business Analyst Automation Marketing to strengthen their team.
Key responsibilities
Adobe Campaign requirements & solution design
-
Lead the elicitation, documentation, and prioritization of business requirements related to Adobe Campaign.

Define and document requirements for:
-
Campaign workflows (targeting, segmentation, scheduling).
-
Dynamic content personalization (email, SMS, push notifications).
-
Data models and schema extensions (custom fields, linked tables).
-
Integrations with CRM and other systems (e.g. Salesforce, APIs, webhooks).
-

Translate marketing strategies (lead nurturing, customer retention, mandatory communications) into scalable and compliant technical specifications.
-
Define use cases, user stories, and process flows aligned with Adobe Campaign capabilities (transactional messaging, fatigue management, A/B testing).
Workflow & campaign optimization

Design, configure, and optimize Adobe Campaign workflows for performance, reliability, and error handling.
-
Analyze campaign performance metrics (delivery, open and click-through rates, conversions) and propose data-driven improvements.

Troubleshoot functional and technical issues in collaboration with Adobe Campaign administrators and IT teams.
Data & compliance governance
-
Ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance, including GDPR and financial services constraints.

Define data mapping and synchronization rules between Adobe Campaign and external systems (CRM, DMP, analytics tools).

Document audit trails, approval flows, and compliance processes for mandatory or high-risk campaigns.
Stakeholder collaboration & training

Act as the key interface between marketing teams, IT, and Adobe Campaign administrators.

Facilitate workshops and demos to gather requirements, validate solutions, and train end users.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining test cases (email rendering, personalization logic, suppression lists).
End-to-end project ownership

Take full ownership of Adobe Campaign-related initiatives, from requirements gathering to deployment.

Manage requirements traceability and impact analysis for changes (new data sources, regulatory updates).

Coordinate with external vendors or Adobe support when required.
Continuous improvement & innovation

Stay up to date with Adobe Campaign features, releases, and industry trends.
-
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and enhance existing workflows.
-
Share best practices and lessons learned to improve platform adoption and efficiency.
Is this you?
-
Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Dutch and/or French.
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
-
At least 3 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst in marketing automation.

Deep functional expertise in Adobe Campaign, with hands-on experience in workflow design and campaign execution.
-
Experience in regulated environments (e.g. banking, financial services, healthcare).
-
Autonomous and proactive, able to manage projects end-to-end.
-
Strong technical understanding of data models, APIs, and system integrations.
-
Bonus: experience with other marketing automation tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or HubSpot.
