At afarax, we connect top freelance IT professionals with high-impact projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Program Manager to support one of our clients in the banking sector. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex initiatives, align multiple stakeholders, and drive strategic change across products, processes, and IT assets.

The mission

You will act as the central coordination point for a large-scale banking initiative, driving stakeholder alignment, managing scope and budget, and ensuring successful delivery across business, product, and IT teams.

Key responsibilities

Stakeholder & governance management

• Onboard and drive key stakeholders across Global Markets, channels, and product teams

• Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the Product Management team

• Organize and lead Initiative Boards and governance forums

Program & delivery management

• Lead product gap analysis workshops with multiple stakeholders

• Ensure proper scoping of evolutions across all assets, in collaboration with the IT Initiative Leader

• Follow up on the delivery of IT changes and ensure alignment with business objectives

Process & operating model alignment

• Coordinate with Process Managers on end-to-end (E2E) process evolutions

• Assess impacts on the Target Operating Model (TOM) and ensure coherence across changes

Budget & planning

• Monitor and follow up on the program budget

• Ensure transparent reporting on progress, risks, and dependencies

Your profile

• Strong written and spoken English and French

• Minimum 10 years of experience in program or initiative management

• Experience with Agile environments and API-driven architectures

• Strong domain knowledge in Cash Management, International Payments, FX, and SWIFT

• Ability to maintain a helicopter view with strong strategic thinking

• Excellent communication skills; diplomatic, customer-oriented, and persuasive

• Commercial awareness and strong stakeholder management skills

• Proactive mindset with strong team spirit and leadership capabilities

• Structured, goal-oriented, and able to motivate teams in complex environments
